A short 30 minute drive from both Perisher and Thredbo makes NRMA Jindabyne Holiday Park the perfect base from which to enjoy your next skiing trip. Let’s start with the real mountain action. Thredbo and Perisher are all within a half hour drive, making Jindabyne the perfect (not to mention pretty) base from which to finally conquer those black diamond runs. The really keen should tackle Perisher’s Superpipe; a 95m long, 16m wide, 5m high half pipe. Slow, but don’t stop, the adrenaline by taking a day hike to the highest point in Australia, the Mt Kosciuszko summit walk. Back at sea level, Jindabyne is a happening little village, particularly in the snow season.Birchwood Cafe’s nourish bowls wouldn’t look out of place in any capital city’s trendy suburb, nor would the excellent coffee and inventive cocktails at Coffee Beats Drinks. Restaurant wise, Jindabyne offers fantastic local spots serving up seasonal produce from throughout the region. The shining star in the mountain town’s crown is Brumby Bar & Grill, whose modern Australian menu is the perfect way to end an active day – in particular, the mushroom and lemon thyme risotto.
