NRMA bushfire support

We’re incredibly saddened by the bushfires our nation is currently experiencing. These bushfires are unprecedented and the loss of life, homes and wildlife are devastating. The economic and social recovery will be a long, hard road and there is much to be done, but we will do everything we can to support Australians in this great time of need. We extend our sincere gratitude to the thousands of emergency services personnel and volunteers who have worked tirelessly to help save lives, homes and wildlife.

We're here to help

We exist to keep everyone moving and this means more now than ever before.

We’re still providing roadside assistance in areas that are safe to access, and moving resources around to ensure that our Patrols are there, wherever we’re needed. Members can call us on 13 11 11 for roadside assistance, but should call 000 if in an emergency situation.

Stay safe

We urge everyone to put safety first and take the advice of the Rural Fire Service, plus keep up-to-date on road closures through Live Traffic NSW. You can monitor the latest updates across the states through these resources: New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and Tasmania.

The Get Prepared app from the Australian Red Cross can also help you connect with key support people, accomplish simple tasks to keep you safer, and protect the things that matter most to you.

Our bushfire efforts

At the NRMA we are committed to a long-term plan to support the rebuilding and economic recovery of communities affected by bushfires. 

Our nation's vast size and pioneer spirit means road trips have always been vital to Australia and now as regional communities struggle with bushfires, drive tourism takes on new importance - it's the lifeblood needed to repair the regions. We encourage Australians to visit these communities so they can thrive again. Just by staying, eating, drinking and shopping locally, each one of us can give back to communities that have lost so much. 

We continue to work with emergency services to provide accommodation, rental cars and ferries where needed and will persist in finding ways to use our assets and people to support those in need over the coming weeks.
